Surface Preparation
Clean joints and corners thoroughly to remove dust, loose material and contaminants, ensuring a sound substrate.
Application of Waterproofing Basecoat
Apply the recommended SmartCare waterproofing basecoat (such as SmartCare Damp Proof) at the joint area as per PIS.
Placing SmartCare Roof Tapes
Embed SmartCare Roof Tapes into the wet basecoat over joints and corners, ensuring full contact and avoiding wrinkles.
Overcoating
Once the tape is properly placed, apply additional coats of the waterproofing system over it to fully encapsulate and reinforce the joint.
