Product Description
SmartCare Damp Proof is a glass fibre-reinforced elastomeric liquid applied waterproofing membrane from Asian Paints. On curing, it forms a thick, seamless and durable coating that provides ultimate waterproofing for terraces and exterior vertical walls. The brilliant white, high-sheen finish helps reflect heat and reduce surface temperatures, while the elastomeric film bridges minor cracks and resists water ingress for long-term protection.

Step-by-Step Process
Surface Preparation
Clean the terrace or wall surface thoroughly to remove dust, loose particles, algae, fungus, oil and other contaminants. Repair major cracks and defects as directed in the product information sheet and ensure the surface is sound and dry.
Detailing of Cracks and Joints
Treat visible cracks, joints and critical areas such as pipe penetrations and parapet junctions with the recommended SmartCare crack treatment and reinforcing fabric wherever specified.
Application of SmartCare Damp Proof
Apply the first coat of SmartCare Damp Proof by brush or roller, working it well into the substrate. After the first coat dries as per the PIS, apply subsequent coats in perpendicular directions to build up the required dry film thickness.
Curing and Inspection
Allow the final coat to dry and cure fully before exposing the surface to ponding water or regular service. Inspect the coated area for uniform coverage and attend to any missed spots as needed.
