Step-by-Step Process
Surface Preparation and Sanding
Ensure the wooden or glass surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and contaminants. Sand the substrate as recommended in the product information sheet to create a smooth, uniform base for the decorative coating.
Application of Recommended Undercoats
Apply the specified sealer or basecoat from the WoodTech system as per Asian Paints guidance, allowing adequate drying and sanding between coats to obtain an even, defect-free base.
Creating the Decorative Effect
Apply WoodTech Insignia using the recommended tools and technique for the chosen design (for example ragging, special rollers or tools). Work systematically over the surface to achieve an even decorative pattern and desired visual depth.
Drying and Protection
Allow the coated surface to dry as directed in the PIS before putting it to use. Avoid abrasion or heavy loading until the film has fully cured to retain the decorative effect and sheen for longer.
