Product Description
SmartCare Damp Block 2K is a two-component, high-performance coating from Asian Paints that provides superior waterproofing for interior walls, bathrooms and other masonry surfaces. The acrylic polymer-modified cementitious system forms an elastic, seamless coating that resists dampness and efflorescence, helping to protect plaster and brickwork. When applied at brick level as recommended, it comes with specified waterproofing and anti-efflorescence warranties.

User Guide For SmartCare Damp Block 2K
Step-by-Step Process
Substrate Preparation
Clean the masonry surface thoroughly to remove dust, loose particles, laitance, oil and other contaminants. Repair major cracks and voids with suitable repair mortar and ensure the surface is sound.
Mixing Components
Mix the liquid polymer and powder components of SmartCare Damp Block 2K in the ratio specified in the product information sheet. Use a mechanical mixer to obtain a smooth, lump-free slurry.
Application of Coats
Apply the first coat using a brush, working it well into the substrate. Allow it to dry as per the PIS, then apply the second coat perpendicular to the first to achieve uniform coverage and the required film thickness.
Curing and Protection
Allow the coating to cure properly before plastering or putting the area into service. Protect freshly coated surfaces from direct sun, strong wind or premature water contact during the initial curing period.
