About NCS

NCS (Natural Color System) is a scientifically based color system used globally for precise color definition, communication, and matching across all industries.

Science-Based Color System

The Natural Color System (NCS) is built on how the human eye perceives color, making it intuitive and universally applicable. Developed in Sweden and adopted worldwide, NCS describes colors based on their resemblance to six elementary colors: white, black, yellow, red, blue, and green.

Extensive Color Range

NCS offers over 1,950 standardized shades spanning Greys, Blues, Greens, Reds, Oranges, Yellows, Purples, Pinks, and Browns. Each color is defined by a unique notation (e.g., NCS S 2020-B10G), ensuring exact specification and matching across paints, textiles, plastics, and digital media.

Universal Application

NCS is used by designers, architects, and manufacturers worldwide for interior design, product development, and industrial applications. Its logical structure allows seamless communication between creative professionals and manufacturers, ensuring vision becomes reality without color discrepancies.

Precision & Consistency

Every NCS color is defined by its blackness, chromaticness, and hue, creating a three-dimensional color space that's scientifically accurate. This precision ensures the same NCS code produces identical colors whether specified in paint, fabric, or digital design software.

Professional Standard

NCS is the go-to system for high-stakes projects requiring exact color coordination across multiple materials and suppliers. From luxury hotels to corporate branding, NCS delivers the accuracy, reliability, and international recognition that professionals demand.
